Is SCS (Sodium Coco Sulfate) an irritant ?

SCS (Sodium Coco Sulfate, not to be confused with SLS, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) is of natural and plant origin and is accepted in ORGANIC. This foaming agent improves the sensoriality of our solid shampoos, developing a larger and creamier foam, easy to spread over the entire scalp and hair. Its potential "irritant" power (like any surfactant since their function is to clean by removing grease and dirt) is reduced thanks to the presence of Decyl glucoside, our second very gentle foaming agent and soothing vegetable oils. We are particularly vigilant about the concentration of each ingredient in order to respect the skin (a toxicologist ensures the eye and skin safety of each product before they are put on the market, this is a regulatory obligation). The fact that it is a rinse-off product also limits the risk of irritation. Please note: the irritating nature of a product depends on the user and the method of use. The same product used by two different people will not be tolerated in the same way (because one may be more sensitive or use a large amount of product, for example).
