Bright and Bio: the birth of an idea

Bright and Bio is the idea of a couple, a family of Caledonians who came to settle in one of the countries they love most in the world, ✨ Australia ✨ and who found in this country the values they share with their native island : Love of the Earth and Respect for its biodiversity to be preserved.

For several years now, we have been aware that we need to take care of our own health and that of our children ; by taking care to eat healthily, of course, fruit, vegetables, not too much fat, not too much sugar... But also by taking a closer look at the “invisible ingredients” we ingest without really realizing it... You know, those little “E things” and long-winded words in a “kind of dialect” that seems incomprehensible, and which unfortunately sometimes hide substances harmful to health, such as carcinogenic ingredients or endocrine disruptors. With the free Yuka mobile app, all we had to do was scan the product to see the list of ingredients, and above all, a detailed explanation of what lay behind these barbaric names, and the potential associated risks (or not, for healthy products). This revelation was a trigger for us. We decided to rethink our eating and drinking habits.

However, it was some time before we realized that these problematic ingredients were not only to be found in our food... It was during a New Caledonian summer that we decided to scan the sun cream we'd just bought for the children ; a good brand, prominently displayed in a chemist's, there was no doubt in our minds that it must be excellent.
